Tom Parsons – Can He Be the Greatest High Jumper of All Time?

Tom Parsons has started his 2011 season really well. Banging out some very impressive jumping with 2.28m, 2.25m, 2.28m and lifetime personal record of 2.31m in Glasgow earlier this month. Being close to 2.35m as well is the best start to a year he has ever had!

I trained with Tom Parsons for many fond years in Solihull, UK, under the legendary high jump coach Mike Dolby. Naturally I´m a big fan of Tom´s jumping after knowing him for nearly 20 years, and having worked closely with him.

Now with my old trainer and mentor Fuzz Ahmed (Alex Caan) Tom Parsons has flown over the 2.30 + barrier!! With the Russian´s setting the standard high this year, Tom has his work cut out to be the best in the world. 2012 approaches and along with it a shot at Olympic history is on the cards for Tom………

I will be following his competitive results and his training as the year progresses. In the mean time here is a video of his best jumps including his massive 2.31m in Glasgow.
