Julius is now quite well drilled, and has worked hard over the last three weeks. Improving his running gait has take two months of steady drills, allowing his body to get used to efficient movement patters. Having control is very important when producing a lot of power. His running technique is improving aided by his good mobility, a result of a daily stretching routine. The movement patterns he uses in the drills are still not fully developed in his running gait. Patients is important at this stage, as we have plenty of time until competition. I am not in a rush to force a running style in his sprints just yet. Julius was in fine form during this session, gifting me with a quote of his own after his first striding sixty meter run…..
´That was so smooth, it felt like the air took me home.´
Thanks J.C.
